1982 Dodge Rampage Pickup 4 Cyl 5 Speed A/C - $795 (Bristol Pa

Seller said: Rare 1982 Dodge Rampage pickup truck that runs and drives/moves but has been sitting awhile and should be towed from our location. Vehicle is powered by a 4 cylinder engine with a 5 speed manual transmission, odometer reads 54,399 and has most likely turned over. Interior is in decent shape and everything works, even the air conditioning blows cold! Vehicle is blue but original color was red. Body and under vehicle does have rust and it is being sold as a project and as-is. Vehicle can be seen at 3005 Ford Rd. Bristol Pa. 19007 Business hours: Mon-Fri 11-6

Crap. I may need to go take a look at this when I'm home on Weds. This dealer is around the corner from me and I drive past it going to work (when I'm in PA and not NH). They often have some cheap, interesting stuff.

The foam padding inside the horn button breaks down and can cause the horn to get stuck on.

The proper fix is to remove the pad and replace the foam.

Or you know, ditch the stock wheel for an aftermarket solution, the caveat is that the Omni/Charger/Rampage used the steering wheel as the collapsible part of the steering column, hence the DEEP dish. So the steering column adapter needs to collapse (Grant's does, BTW) and will also need a 3" spacer to get the wheel away from the dash.

Nice! Still somewhat regret that I pulled the trigger on the Elky so quickly as I likely would have ended up buying a decent-condition Rampage at auction a few days later had I not bought the Elky...

The blue over red paint and the poorly patched quarters coming back apart tell me you had better take a real close look at the floors and rockers.

I finally got a chance to stop by the lot and check this out. Yes. They still have it.

First off, I don't think it's a 5 spd. Only 4 forward speeds are shown on the shift knob.

Second, it looks rusty in these pictures. It's far, far worse. I have a Volvo 1800ES, so I know rusty cars. This is definitely one to avoid.

I bought a 69 4x4 suburban one time pretty cheap. One of the reasons was because he said it had super low gears and needed to be regeared to do highway speeds. I bought it anyway....turns out someone put the wrong transfer case pattern nob on it and when it showed 2H it was actually 4L. You're probably right about this one, but always a good idea to run it through the gears and check anyway.

I had a similar thing happen with an FJ40. It had the 4 speed pattern sticker on the glovebox, but was actually a 3 speed.

This car would have had a 4 speed as the original trans. I seriously doubt anyone west through the trouble of swapping the trans from the amount of effort that went into the "bodywork"
