NMNA:
Kinda on the fence about this one.

My first car was a 1980 320i. I loved it and learned a lot. One thing I learned, and confirmed on later car purchases, is that "almost completely rust free" may be one of the most meaningless phrases ever when you're talking about late 70s/early 80s BMWs. Its there, you just haven't found it yet.
Check the sills under the rear pop-out windows. They rust like crazy and you don't notice it until you open the windows and look. Also the rear shock towers are a terrible design with a little internal drain. If it gets clogged, they rust from the inside out so look at them closely.
If you do get it, I have a big bin full of e21 interior parts, a few windows, and other random leftover e21 stuff from my failed project a couple years ago, that you're welcome to have for free if you come get them.
I can also hook you up with the resident e21 guru in this area (a chumpcar/LeMons guy) who has all three of my former M10 engines, lol.
Your post made me dig out the first pics of my hennarot 320i, taken the day I bought it in August 1992, right after Hurricane Andrew... I still miss that car. The engine has been sitting in my Dad's garage since 1997, definitely need to figure out something to do with it!
