I'm kind of done with F-bodies for a while so I thought I'd put this up here and see if anyone had something neat to trade.
It's my ’83 Z28 Camaro with a 5 speed. It has a 350 of unknown origin or spec…but it runs strong, doesn’t smoke, and doesn’t make any funny noises. It has a world class T5. It has brand new tires on 16x8 IROC wheels, a brand new dynomax cat back exhaust system, a new battery, a new radiator. It has headers that I purchased used (I don’t recall the brand but it’s a usual suspect brand). It has a Hydraulic clutch setup (factory was a mechanical linkage). I put a summit rebuilt quadrajet carburetor on there. After adjusting the float level, it’s running pretty darn good.
The worst part of the car is the faded factory paint. The interior is serviceable, but not perfect (definitely better than most this age). The headliner is shot and the dash is cracked.
It’s a project car.
I’d be interested in trading for something interesting. I’m really looking for something that runs and drives (though who knows…I’m a sucker for a project). A B-body GM (Caprice/Roadmaster/Delta88/Custom Cruiser/etc) would be fun. A G-body (Malibu, Cutlass, Regal) would be REALLY fun. A fox body mustang, Capri, or even better, a FAIRMONT would be enjoyable. An E30 is something I’m about ready to explore. An MR2 or Miata would be cool. Some old Domestic Iron (A Falcon is on my list!) or an Air Cooled VW would also be neat.
I don't really expect to get a huge response here...but it never hurts. If you know of anyone looking for a standard-transmission F-body, send them my way. I'm mostly fishing for a trade, however I would sell it outright...but a little over the GRM limit.
The vehicle is in Columbia, Missouri, midway between KC and STL on I70.
