If you do get a 88 they are so much better then the more common 87's. Still miss mine.
A real 308 probably costs less to make/find than one of those Meira kits. Very rare. There was one in the Atlanta CL for about a year at $9999 before it sold.
I really like the Dino above. if I only had garage space. It's not the Kelmark kit with the giant awful A pillars, it's got real chrome bumpers (not cheap) and its on a fiero chassis and not a VW, and the price is right. I like it.
There's a Meira fiero sitting with serious lot rot and flat tires down the street from me. I thought it was actually a 308 until I walked up and looked in it one day.
Needs to be bought... and then a call made to these guys.... http://www.v8archie.com/v8Archie/home.htm
You guys recommending V8 Archie stuff must not have seen his kits in person before. Pretty poorly designed stuff for a lot of money. There are much better swaps for much less money out there.

Pics? contact info? Ohio isn't far
I knew a guy with one of the Mera kits in the mid '90's, and could bought a real 308 and ran it for several years for what he had in it, but it looked pretty decent. It had problem after problem after problem though, mainly due to cooling issues.

With the advent of the LSx swap I would say that statement is officially crap
I would love to buy this. I just don't have enough cash. I would find space for it, refinish the interior with a set of Cobra "sports car" buckets, remove the console and modify the factory dash to look period correct... then save for a 300hp LS swap.
Anybody know what rims that Mera kit uses?
They aren't real Ferrari but I've not been able to find anything like them....
i kinda like the fiero ferrari thing. i mean not enough people really know how the real deal looks so at a glance it looks nice. Needs differnet wheels and an engine swap, but hey thats my opinion
I occasionally have Fiero and/or Ferrari kit-car thoughts... partly because I know this guy:

A Mera with an LS swap sounds like it could be a ton of fun and I'm pretty confident Dave could make it work.
I've had a ride in that car. It pretty much goes sideways if you look at the throttle too hard... regardless of how fast you are currently moving... Someday I'll have to ask him how much modification is required to fit the 3800s/c motor... Could make for a fun SSM car...
