SURELY this could be finished out under budget couldn't it? Turn the boost up, and ROCK the drags. Plus, Foxbody mods for the autocross.
Is it weird that I would rather have an SVO or Turbo GT (or even better, '87-'88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe) than a regular 5.0 GT?

I've never owned an SVO, but I've owned a few Mustangs and a few Marks. And...well yeah. Mustang.

I autocrossed one of those back in the 80's that was on R comps. Drives like a heavy 4 cylinder car then wham, boost kicks in from 3,500 to 5,000 rpm, then nothing again! It was made in a time before turbolag was mitigated.
Factory Five donor. Think single side pipe. Make all the purists from both camps cry.
It bothers me that -1) it's still for sale and 2) I still want it.
