I can't believe this car still hasn't sold. It's been for sale for at least a year.
That package that he's selling would make for a DAMN fast car. He's selling it with the engine/trans from an MX6 GT.
The only wierdness would be mounting the transmission. Might require a little custom work, but nothing major.
Somebody needs this. If i hadn't just gotten the Miata, i would have bought at this price, and laughed my way to the 11s in the quarter mile.
Any Indy guys have garage space i could rent for cheap-ish? I need this.
Need to swap the motor/suspension from my MX6 onto it, then his stock F2T dropout into my MX6, then sell my MX6, and enjoy a rocket of a GC 626.
Hmmm, must be that the "engine locked up" is scaring away potential buyers.
I saw an '86 626 sedan yesterday, sitting next to a repair/used car dealership, that from a few yards away looked as good as this car. Must be something about Mazda 626s....they either "disappear" or slowly evolve back to rust, looking pretty good in the meantime.
I wasn 't aware that the turbo was offered on the sedan, much less that it was put in more sedans than hardtops. Perhaps I should go take a closer look at the one I saw yesterday. I just firgured "hey, a Mazda outside a repair shop, looks pretty good so it must have a broken automatic transmission?"
