Damn... and that's local (kinda).
I have always wanted one of these. No moneyz.
this is the exact car I wanted when I was 16. it was a yellow 88 crx si. My dad said no (too sporty, too small, too whatever, everything was too something). It was my money and I eventually got another car I wanted, but always wished I had got the crx.
I had a white one pull out in front of me today and I thought how great it would be to have one of those. Always wanted one. I tried to keep up, but on the twisty backroads it just left me and my F350 behind.
In reply to stan:
Do it and I'll make you a profit. I'm in Ohio and if you look closely, I had one just like it.

I would love to do this, especially before it gets all crazy-snowing up there, but I can't do anything until my 1st gens sell. (NO room at the Inn...)
For what it's worth, he showed me where the holes had been drilled in the rockers for Zeibart rustproofing when it was new. He also mentioned that he brought it back for annual inspections and retreatment for a bunch of years. I never really believed in the stuff, but it looks as if it paid off in this case.
In reply to Woody:
Buy it for a $1000, then make a road trip to Ohio and return home with more money
I really want this & it's only 3 hours away. Since the Starion will be leaving soon I haven't been sure what to replace it with. I'm assuming that this car is a manual. Do you have any interior pics Woody?

Every Zeibarted (or Rusty Jones'd) car I've owned over the years has been far, far less rusty than its non-treated peers. Yes, there is sometimes rust around the drill holes but it's not usually as bad as the alternative. Anecdotally I would say it works long term.

Yes... buy this car. Then when you get bored of it in 2 years, sell it to me.
If this was local, I would buy it at $1500 for sure. Maybe just to sell on payments to my nephew that's fallen in love with CRX'es, but still.
I just got off the phone with seller (Maurice)...The car sold to someone from MA that was driving by and saw it. New owner has a Vintage race shop of some sort. Sold for $1200, or exactly how much I had planned on offering...
Not like I need another CRX, but one this close (15min away) and in this shape, it was a no brainer. If only I was not traveling for work yesterday, oh well.
