My friend is selling his barn find SC mr2. I will get more information from him and update but here is what I know. Doesn't currently run. It needs a fuel pump. Has new radiator and some other stuff. Less rusty than most mk1s from the Midwest. It is a test top auto car. Price is well inside challenge budget. TBD.

Talked to the owner about price. He told me 1200 but I am saying 1k to you nice folk here at the grms. :-D he will trade for motorcycles as well. Enduros in particular

Reaaaaally glad you're so far away and I don't have a towing rig- I'd be spending $1k I don't really have to spend.

Rough estimate of Gas is almost $300 round trip. Assuming 15 mpgs. I would love a ride to the challenge then!

yeah I think you hit it. I read back through again and that sounds about right.
That is correct. It comes with a couple services transmission but is currently an auto.
In 1988, the MR2 SC Auto was the fastest car sold in 0-30 times. Of course this has a lot to due with the fact that the 3 speed does not shift out of 1st till 30 mph.
It's like all these mr2s lately are taunting me.
