So here's the deal. I think I have a $3,500 car on my hands, but it just failed SMOG and I don't have the time to fix it. The car's in Folsom, CA. It's been my track beater for the last 4-5 years. Never had a mechanical failure, never failed to start (other than the odd dead battery). It's been an awesome car, and if I had the time to sort out the emissions issue I could get more money for it...but at this point it'll be another couple months before I can do that.
Soooooo, somebody's going to get an awesome deal on a nearly-indestructible track rat. The car in $2,011 guise is as follows:
1989 325i
260k miles (PO replaced the odo and there was a ~60k mileage difference. title is clean)
Bilstein sports w/ HR Race springs
Straight/relatively clean bottlecaps w/ junk tires
Stock/rubber 4-spoke steering sheel
You have to take any spare crap I don't want (crack-free dash, straight valence, etc., all items that can be sold to get budget room for the challenge)
Tons of information and pictures at the link below:

Note - on the SMOG thing. The car failed NOX at 25 mph (CA does a 15 mph and 25 mph test - 15 mph was ok).
Couple pics:
This shows the car with Konigs and Azenis. The car will be sold with bottlecaps and I plan to sell the wheels separately.
Steering wheel will be replaced by the lame-ass 4-spoke version.
I should mention - easiest way to contact me is zocchi at hotmail dot com.
And to reiterate - the car runs perfectly. Never failed to start since I've owned it, shifts fine, etc. I've done a bunch of work to it to make it track-ready.
Thanks!

A note to potential buyers, Speedblind was great to deal with when I bought my GTI from him. His descriptions were very accurate (even pessimistic), and he was easy to deal with. Buy with confidence.

There you go Tim . . . it's on the correct coast this time

Thanks Sonic! Glad you got that GTI up and running. It's sort of a rare combination. Cool car.
not to steal a deal from someone... but usually when the high rev NOX tests bad it is a hole in the exhaust before or just after the converter (where the exhaust is still very hot). just in case you wanted to check it out real quick.
Do want. Don't need, but DO want.
The wrong coast to the rescue! My wallet is safe.
Gone! Thanks for the interest. I will be posting a bunch of E30 crap in the next week or so.
