Hmm. What engine/manual transmission combos could easily be dropped into this? http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/cto/3959939466.html

2.2/2.5 n/a or turbo, 2.2 TIII lotus head, 2.2 Maserati head, 2.0/2.4 n/a or turbo, 3.0 6G72, RWD V8 swap
A better question isn't what can be dropped, but where?
I vote for a twin turbo Mitsu V6 mounted in the trunk. Use a Mitsu truck block to get more displacement.

Yeah if it wasn't an auto, I think it would be in my driveway already.
Autos aren't bad on those as they are really robust and great for drag racing and Autocross (left foot brake to get boost out of the corners, etc). My 87 Sundance Auto was a much better autoX car compared to my 87 shadow turbo with a stick. Same suspension and tires/wheels.
My Uncle autocrosses a CSX-T with a modified auto (5.30 final drive, manual valve body, quaiffe, etc) and is winning in DSP locally.
Besides manual swap just requires swapping the pedal rod, brake pedal, adding the clutch pedal and clutch cable bracket on the strut housing, the shifter, cables, transaxle, clutch/flywheel and drivelines. Luckily most of these parts are the same between the Daytonas and Lebarons, whether V6, 4, etc.
yep change out the auto rod and brake pedal for the manual rod and clutch/brake pedals drill a hole for the cable and replace the auto shifter for the manual one.
I'm 99% sure '90 is when they went to that interior. I bought an '88 Pacifica in November '90. Was considering a new TBI 2.5 ES with a 5-speed when the '88 was traded in.
'91's were out by then, so I'm a little foggy on the transition. I know '89 still had the earlier interior.
I still like the '80's dash better than the Star Trek Next Generation one.
