This isn't mine but it seemed like a hell of a deal for a legit TRD build race car that's already caged with a log book.

That's awesome! I think it'd be fun to own one, if for nothing else that it's a piece of history. I wonder who's driven it.
Seems at least one or two of the old Long Beach Celebrity cars show up a year...
Haven't seen many 6th gens like this, though. There's been at least 5 5th gens in the last two years. I want one of the 5th gens VERY badly.

Probably should have listed who wrecked it. Wasn't the high percentage outcome at least one wreck per celebrity in every race?
We built a '94 Celica for Chumpcar/Lemons and have WAY less than half the cost of this car. Nowhere near the same pedigree but we have done low cost versions of all the mods they reference. Interesting if that car really has a 2.0, as far as I know that chassis only came with a 1.8 or a 2.2.

It's got a 2.2. You're correct in that the chassis was not available with a 2.0 in North America.
That may have started as a body-in-white, so it may not be a US spec car. They said that it's never been titled.
It may very well have a 2.0 3SGE, since that is more of a performance engine than the 5SFE (at least from the factory).

That's what I am thinking. It wouldn't surprise me if it does have a 2.0L in it.

It says "2200" right on the intake, so I'm guessing it has the 2.2L. Unless they put a 5SFE intake on a 3SGE for some reason.

This, and they didn't. That's not a 3sge valve cover.
