That sort of rust isn't unknown on a summertime Miata. They can collect water in the sills.

Not a bad deal at all. Don't expect miracles out of the blower, just enjoy. It reminds me of what my daily driver was like when I bought it. The only modification that hasn't been replaced by this point is the sway bar set and the catalytic converter
