I think I've found a Caprice + tow dolly I want to buy, so dump the Subaru I shall.
The good:
- Engine and transmission has been replaced (EJ22 + 5 speed, unknown miles).
- CV's replaced in the last 2 years.
- Tires are about a year old (fronts are wearing unevenly, I believe wheel bearings are to blame).
- Rust free body.
- ~30 mpg hwy.
The bad:
- Salvage title due to sideswipe in the pictures, hood is pretty dented up.
- Poor repair of said side swipe.
- Front wheel bearings are going. DS front wheel bearing is about shot.
- Brakes are awful. Needs pads, rotors, bleed.
- ABS is on the fritz. Diagnostic says 2 bad WSS's.
- Transmission speed sensor is out, so no speedo, odo, cruise, and fuel cuts early.
I've got 4 new rotors and pads that I'll throw in for $100 (rotors are $30/ea at Advance). Asking $1300 obo, GRM discount. I have $1400 in the car. Yeah, it's ugly, but it drives pretty good and hasn't left me anywhere.
