I have a carpenter custom 1996 Chevy Astro van for sale. I have put a one of a kind custom steel frame in the cargo area of the van. It is completely suspended from the wheel wells and cargo cage, this allows you to store 4x8 sheets of plywood under it and lumber up to 10' long down the middle. It is designed to hold a Dewalt dw705 miter saw, and Dewalt dw744 table saw on two 24" trays that slide out the rear doors. This makes setup and teardown a breeze when you are on a jobsite. You can use the miter saw by just opening the passenger rear door, or you can open both doors and use the table saw inside the van to rip up 8' lumber. The door of the large wooden shelves on the driver's side folds down to make an out feed table for the table saw. This also keeps everything stored inside clean and safe when its folded up and locked . I have installed 2 24" fluorescent lights that really light up the van. I also have 2 15" subs in the cargo wall with a 300w amp and CD player with remote control. This is really nice on the job site.

Now for the bad...I have owned this van since 2001 and only put about 1000 miles on it. I have only filled it up with gas 5 or 6 times. All my properties are within a couple miles of each other. We would drive this van to the jobsite and it would sit parked for 6-9 months at a time while we worked on a house. It ran perfect when I got it, now he van has 228822 miles on it and has started to run rough 2 or 3 years ago. Sometimes it's better than others. It feels like ignition to me, maybe old gas? Definitely not anything major with the engine. The trans is also hurtin, you have to shift thru the gears manually. If you start in D, it feels like you are starting out in 3rd or 4th gear. If you start in 1 and shift thru 2 and D it works fine? I have no idea what that means.

This sale will INCLUDE my Dewalt dw705 miter saw ($150), Dewalt dw744 table saw ($450), and various hand and power tools. It has 4 new BFG all-terrain 235-75-15 ($600). I have outgrown this van and feel like I need to sell this as a package because everything works so well together... $1900 obo

Hey Jon:

You've outgrown it...

...Whatcha looking for? I've got a 14' Cube van with 10 toolboxes that open to the outside. It is the perfect rig for a mobile shop that is setup to do anything. I LOVED working out of it for extensive remodeling projects. Time to sell, but I can't sell it for Challenge price.
