250,000 miles, 4.0 V8, 5sp automatic, ac, 6 disk changer, leather, sunroof. 290 hp, Needs work, coolant pours right thru it, maybe freeze plugs? needs tires, front brakes. Make an offer AFTER you look at it. Still runs but would make great candidate for swap.http://www.jaguarspecialties.com/XK8-LSx.asp

I'd be willing to take the gamble if it was closer.
That would be mine if it was local.
I'd also consider it if it were closer. And no way in effing hell would I do a LS swap into a jag.
250k miles on a Jaguar...that has to be a British car record

If it got cold and the freeze plugs blew, would that indicate a lack of coolant (glycol)? So should you also be concerned about gaskets, heads, heater core or about anything that had coolant moving through it?

"Man buys $1700 non-running Jaguar and finds it only needed a lower radiator hose"
It could happen.

Potentially, but it usually dosen't get "that" cold here.
I am betting freez plug or hose. Motors for those are not bad price wise. It is the trans that usually goes.
Looks like 1500 gets you a motor from car-parts
One of the prettiest cars of the 90s. Certainly worth a look if you are close enough.
I agree with the above. Thank goodness it's about as far away as it could get from me.
But there is a Vitesse in BC that I was actually thinking about doing fly and drive.
