2000 Civic DX Hatchback - free to a good home

Hi Everyone,

I have a black 2000 Civic DX Hatchback sitting in my driveway, free to a good home. You will need some way to tow her, and to re-inflate her tires.

The Good:

• 15" alloy wheels
• Integra Type-R seats
• B20Z engine swap mated to an SiR 5 speed, with a dented DC header, AEM cold air intake, and 2.5" stainless steel cat back exhaust.
• Ground control coilovers on tokico shocks
• 6.5" component speakers installed in the doors (amp missing)
• Good body

The Bad:

The car has been sitting in my driveway for several years without any love or attention at all. It sits on four flat tires, and the check engine light was on when it last ran. This car is as is, where is, and you should assume that it is unfit for road use.

I have a soft spot in my heart for this car, which is why I am posting it here instead of parting it out. My secret hope is that she goes to someone who will do something awesome with her.

I don't think so, the FMV ruling might get you though. He should have listed it for 1000$ CAD or $10 US........then FMV wouldn't be in play.

The FMV is only if it isn't available publicly. Since anyone on the board has a chance to get this for free FMV wouldn't apply (as I understand it).

This. I would also suggest insisting that the OP let you give him at least $1.00.

Us Yanks will also have to pay Customs duties on the actual value of the car, as well as gas to get there and back.

A coworker and I were talking Honda today and it renewed my desperate want for a fwd race car. Specifically either a b20 swapped hatch or an h2b swapped hatch=/
