Hey guys. Putting together the rotary Miata has been a blast, but my garage is bursting at the seams. Since I have two GTXes, the running one (my $2010 GTX) is up for sale. :)
It's mostly squared away. Mostly.
Done <5k miles ago: - replaced all four struts - replaced all tie rods & cv axles (I'm hearing an occassional popping when turning right, but it doesn't seem to be the axle) - replaced all wheel bearings - upgraded the brake booster to the larger one off a '90s Protege & upgraded brake master cylinder to larger well from a 929 - much, much rewiring of old crumbly wires (I didn't get fancy, just fixed what was there)
I've done one day of rallycross since rebuild. Other than that, been using it to tool around town.
Engine definitely needs to be pulled and rebuilt - there's a little oil in the intercooler and we didn't rebuild before we swapped the engines (although it has a new water pump and alternator within the last few months). I had planned on upgrading the turbo and getting custom exhaust and headers when I did that. But, I'd rather put that work into GTX #1.
Can deliver anywhere within 2 hours of I-5 and I-10 between San Jose, CA, and the Challenge on the 15th. :)
