This is what I was thinking, guy I know did this to another guy and the calls were hilarious!

If the guy says this it's fine. He doesn't have the money to pay off the payday loan, so you'll have to go with him to the title loan place, pay off the loan, and get the title back.
It's the unexplained "no title" you need to worry about.
