1990 Geo storm GSi for sale in central FL. It's not mine, it belongs to Bruce Abbott. If you want it, call him at 386-761-1172. I expect that he, like most MSCC members, is somewhere in the Orlando metro area.
Bruce previously entered this car in a GRM challenge. (My google-fu hasn't told me which year's contest, but I suspect that it was around $2004, since he was autocrossing it with CFR in that year.) The car was an entry in the sub-$1000 class.
We'll start with the bad:
It has been sitting for quite a while, and doesn't currently run. Bruce think's it is not getting fuel, but doesn't know if that's something as simple as a fuel pump relay (very possible, since my geo storm eats fuel pump relays on a regular basis) or as annoying as a bad fuel pump.
There's no battery in it at the moment
Now the good:
It is a cheap beater with a gutless 1.6 liter engine that redlines at 7700 RPM. What's not to love? This practically screams GRM.
It is an isuzu, so all the good stylus bits swap into it easily. Make it AWD, or give it some turbo goodness.
It has four aluminum rims and two steel, plus the doughnut spare. All are 14".
When the car was running, it had what Bruce described as, "The best A/C of any car he's owned." You know you want an icy cold car, and it could probably do that again without much effort.
It has the GSi seats, which are actually rather comfy. (here's a photo that I just hotlinked showing the same type of seats)
It has a brand new water pump...probably only two hours of use on it.
