We had a '47 Chevy grain truck that was dead nuts reliable.
There was an old black gentleman that used to haul pulpwood to a paper mill near my old research farm that looked a lot worse than that one. I never saw him broke down and often wondered how he got past the DOT weight Nazis. I guess they were only interested in weight.
whack the carb a few times to free up the float and put some fresh gas in a can hooked up to the pump, new battery, bet you can drive it away.
