According to a friend, he just contacted the guy, and it is sold already. (for that price it wasn't gonna last long)

COTA has an auction from time to time selling off their old busses and they apparently go really cheap. But I do not know what engines are in them. I know the transmissions are geared really, really low.

Unfortunately they don't have a ton of info on their site as far as how often the auctions are. But this is what little they have:

Note that you apparently have to pay for and remove the bus the day of the sale! That's obnoxious, most vehicle auctions give you a few days to actually collect the vehicle. For something like a non-op bus you would think they would give you some time.

Nix that, found a PDF from their auction last July and they give you 2 days. Wow, that's generous! At least it's not day-of removal.

Edit: Forgot to mention - the gears are really, really low. Like, 55mph top speed and even at that you're winding it way out. So hopefully your transmission or at least diff gears could be re-used in the new heart.

My diff is fine and Mongo has no issues at 70+ mph. I do want the engine Cummins ISC or M11 and a good auto (Allsion) to replace the 4 speed manual it has in it now
