Above Added: Tue January 17, 2012, 1:18 pm EST This is a 1987 Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S, which ran in the SCCA ITB class. I bought it about 18 months ago with the intention to use it for HPDE and maybe some autox. However, family life and budget have gotten in the way and I've never gotten to use it. So at this point, I'd rather see it go to someone who can put it to use, and I'll get a streetable car that maybe I can get to the track once or twice. Plus, I recently joined a LeMons racing team and hope to get some track time with them.

I have the logbook for the car, as well as the title. The title is in the previous owners name, as I never got around to doing the title work. But it is signed and ready to go. The logbook shows the car last ran competitively in September 2007, and it was run by the guy I bought it from. He had the car for many years, but stopped racing it after the '07 season. He said he did a track day or two in '08 and '09, but nothing with the SCCA.

The car runs well and seems to drive pretty well too, though I've only driven it from a shop to my house, which was about 5 miles. I trailered it to a local road race shop last July to get it ready for an HPDE day, as I thought I was going to be able to go. I never did get to go, but the car got a clean bill of health for tech inspect. Here's the shop it went to. http://www.phoenixperformance.net/index.html I can't find the receipt right now, but I know I spent about $750. They re-wrapped the heat shield on the starter, changed the front rotors and pads, I believe the rear rotors are new too. I forget what else was done, but it didn't need much.

I have a bunch of spare parts that go with the car. I have 5 extra rims, just like the ones on the car. The tires on them are all old, but they may be good for a track day. I know I have extra springs, some calipers (seem rusty, but he said they were from an MR2), and a bunch of other stuff. I have an extra transmission as well. The only thing that probably won't go with the car is the red Kirkey seat you'll see in the pictures. I'm donating that to the LeMons team. I've always garage kept it, and the previous owner kept it in a garage or enclosed trailer. As you'll see in the pictures, it's quite solid. The black you see in the drivers' footwell is not rot, it looks like it was the adhesive that used to hold the carpet in. The floor is solid. I started it up this weekend and took these pictures, it fired right up. Here are the pictures. http://s1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa424/Klayfish/FX16/

Feel free to ask me any questions, I'll answer as much as I can. Sorry to see the car go, but I've had it this long and never driven it, so it's time to go a different direction. Price is $1600. Car is located in zip 18041, which is about 20 minutes south of Allentown PA
