It's complete, but I'm tired of looking at it. Former $20XX Challenge car. Not sure it will ever run again, but lots of parts. Good straight rust free tub.
I'm sending it for scrap soon.
$200. Come get it.

8V
The car is kind of orange, but it's really faded. If you are going to use this shell, it should be stripped of everything and re-painted.
It's straight and rust free, but I wouldn't worry about the color.

I've got a separate 16V head I might part with...
I've also got an 84 GTI with a 16V in it that I had not yet decided to sell.
Paul, when you say complete do you mean it is a rolling chassis or is it just a shell (i.e. no interior, suspension, drivetrain, etc.)?
In reply to hobiercr:
Ooops- you're right. Bad details.
It is a complete car, minus interior (it has 2 stock bucket seats in it, ratty condition). It is in the same condition it was when it appeared at the Challenge a few years ago, minus the suspension.
I bought the car for the suspension, and stole it for another car. It now has on it an extremely mis-matched set of struts from an A1 car, which are sufficient for it to roll, no more. It sits ridiculously high in the front, and ridiculously low in the back. Like 6" too high, and 6" too low. Basically, dragging it's rear. So, it has a suspension which can be traded or sold, but is worthless on this car.
The engine was smoking on startup, but blew through it once it warmed up (probably valve stem seals). It will run enough for the Challenge, if you want a beater. This car could theoretically make it to the Challenge for $0.
If you want a project, it's not a bad one. I would strip it to it's shell, consider seam welding it and/or cage, repaint, and start from scratch.
If you sell off the suspension, it would be a free car. You could rebuild the engine, or sell it and have a down payment on a nice power plant.
Could also make a decent start to a Chump or Lemons, or a good shell to begin a better racer.
But I am not gonna build it. I am gonna scrap it, if you don't want it.
Damn it - too many projects and Southern Georgia is a little bit more than 2000 kms away! I always wanted an A2 VW, but I currently have two WRX's on the go.
