95 Caprice 9C1 Jax FL

Update 08/20/13 - Short of it is: last ditch effort to sell before CL, really don't want it turned into a hooptie. Runs good, ice cold air, still in police livery minus markings (hood and trunk are vinyl wrap), no rust. Needs front end work but can be driven anywhere. $1,000.

95 Caprice 9C1 former Texas DPS car, with LT1, 4wdb, black & white with dark red (maple) cloth interior. Bought from 1st owner after DPS. Al records from 1997-present.

Pros: 5.7 LT1, not the 4.3. Auto trans has a shift kit in it, nice firm shifts. 4 wheel discs with Stoptech rotors and Performance Friction pads. TPIS headers. Full Flowmaster exhaust. Has cats and resonators, so its quiet. FIPK cold air intake w/ new K&N filter. Autometer pillar-mounted tach.

Cons: Dash pad is cracked. Front end needs to be redone.

Extras: SS grille. NIB carpet kit comes with it. Decent CD headunit in it with nice Infinity kappa rears, stock fronts. Aftermarket alarm with fob. Dress up Impala SS engine cover.

How is the A/C?

Cold. But does freeze over if run on low fan speed for an extended period. It has plenty of refrigerant, so not sure what the matter is, unless the screens in the cowl are full of leaves and debris. They were, and I vacuumed them off but didn't remove them and clean underneath. Meanwhile, run it on high and just point the vents away when you get chilly.
