Sent this to my brother who lives in Raleigh. His response: "Head. Gasket."
Guy has no sense of adventure.

Head gaskets don't fail on their own with these......normally a side issue of improper maintence(waterpump is on the schedule).
Its one of 2036 95's with a manual, but at 190k mi, berkeley 2g's.
I would give them $700 for it as it doesn't have a hole in the roof.
I often wonder if the presence of Ft. Bragg and a bunch of soldiers with a steady paycheck and no guarantee they'll still be alive in 3 years AND the complete lack of any sort of public transportation inflates the price of cars around here.
I post things like this up from time to time and the guys in Ohio are always wondering why it is a $1200 car and not a $400 car.
Because people seem to buy them. It's crazy.
My payment scale with sho's is amusing.......I will not pay more than treefiddy for a stock g1/2 sho with a hole in the roof. I will double that initial offering for one without a hole in the roof.
On top of those, additional consideration will be had for non sunroof cars with 3.2L swaps, quaifes, upgraded suspension/brakes, other aftermarket parts.
That formula has served me well thus far, and I've scrapped every hole in roof sho shell I've bought.
Man, that's the same color as my old '92 MTX. Someone had even installed a later trunk with that spoiler on it. Memoooorrrrrrrrrrries.

I scrapped a red '92 this time last year......it was stock and had a hole in the roof......want to guess how much I paid for it?
My first new car was a dark blue 93. God, how I loved that thing when it wasn't at the dealership getting worked on. Removed the air silencer, installed a Hypertech chip and a K&N filter, and I was able to break into the 14s at the drag strip with it. And it sounded so glorious when the secondaries opened up.

I think those came stock.
In reply to plance1:
89-90 had no spoiler stock, 91 had a spoiler option(plus package), 92 was no spoiler(period), 93-95 are spoiler only, 96-99 all have spoilers.....

^^ What he said. '92 was the only second-gen SHO without a spoiler from the factory.

There are only 2 years of the 1/2 gens I haven't owned yet.....90 and 94. I'm also missing 96 and 99 for the 3rd gens. I currently still own my 9th(the 95) and 13th(the 91) sho's.

I only had the one '92 MTX. Autocrossed it for a season and beat it mercilessly most days. It was a fun engine strapped to an unworthy car, IMO, but I enjoyed it very much. I'd do another one if A) I had fewer E36 M3boxes, and B) I could afford a Quaife and some suspension goodness.
