I haven't noticed anybody posting anything about the end of American Chopper this season. I know most folks here didn't much care for them, but have you ever seen a program end on any more of a whimper. It was worse than a mity mite firecracker with a wet fuze. ppffffttttt!

I thought for the longest time the show was all rigged. I guess not. Senior may be the only person at his funeral.

Huh? I'm guessing this was intended to the OT section. But even if it were, I still don't really know what it means.

[yawn] I hadn't noticed that it had ended, and didn't know that anybody died. I hope that Thom Beers(sp?) stops producing sensationalized reality/fabrication shows stuff like American Chopper/American Hot Rod/Monster Garage, etc.

If Discovery Communications still want a fabrication show they should look at something more educational (like "Metal Church", but without the controversial host) and less popcorn. Ron Covell could to a great job.

The show was/is still on? Soap opera with Harleys. Boring and predicable. Let me guess, family feudes, people not talking to one another, maybe a few fist fights and some more drugs? Anyone die?

Ah well, if the shows gone I certainly won't miss it.

It was still on? I stopped watching back when they found a way to add even more chrome to a chopper that was meant to promote some Lincoln SUV.

I'd like to see a new series of Junkyard Wars but without all the glitz and BS of the later American episodes. That or Monster Garage without the project ideas apparently coming from a group of stoned chimps and the "Pay up sucker" attitude.

The "L" in "The Learning Channel"

All they run anymore is 24 hours of freakshow.

I can learn how to have 18 kids or how to be a midget or tattoo people or have plenty of family drama on T.V. but I can't learn anything useful.

I like "How it's made." Isn't that broadcast on TLC?

Any sense of creativity in modern programming?

well, I guess I belong on TLC since Im a freak who liked American Chopper. Some bikes were wash, rinse, repeat snoozfests, but some were really fun...they built a natural gas bike and a pretty cool electric bike in the last season. I was sad to see the end of the show personally.

As far as the fizzle and die, Im pretty sure theres more behind the scenes than was let on. The "series finale" was just another episode...my guess is father/sons relationships took a e36m3 in a hurry over the business, and someone exercised some clause in a contract to end the show.

Dont be surprised when theres a reunion show in 6 months and then a spin off of some sort
