A guy I play volleyball with has a 1995 Ford F150 that is rotted away pretty bad so he says. It runs, but needs way too much work than it is worth. Say I can have the engine, and transmission if I have a use for it, or know someone who does. It has 113k miles according to him. Let me know if you guys have any interest.
Chris
Put it on CL and make a couple bucks for both of you.
Those engines are hard to find in good running condition because folks that have them don't get rid of them until they're completely beyond repair.
I bet you'll find a buyer quick.

Man I wish you were closer. My dad is trying to resurrect a ran when parked F150 with a great body and an I6 that has an iffy head/compression. No way that MA is reasonable from GA though.

Do you have any cool rotary parts by chance? If so maybe we could do a meet half way type of deal. I'm not sure it would happen real soon, but maybe in a month or so? The engine is still in the truck, and runs if that helps at all. Not driveable from what he said due to rotted brake lines and such, but the engine is solid. What I don't know is whether the truck is a 2wd or 4wd. That may matter when it comes to the transmission, but not the engine. Probably 4wd knowing this area though.
Ya know...you could find just about any Ford sedan from the last 20 years and install this 6 cyl powerplant. Before installation you could install a turbo and associated hardware to make one hell of a power house with amazing torque producing capabilities for next to nothing. Might I suggest installing this in an older Maverick for cheapness. Any Fairmont body would work as well and you'd be able to bolt on suspension parts designed for fox body mustangs.
Resale would be E36 M3 but you might find it useful for various bits of fun like the $2014 challenge or anything else involving high horsepower and moderate handling capabilities.
