You should probably buy this. $1500.

I have my 1990 Celica STX for sale. I've owned it for the past 10 years. It's a rust free North Carolina car, never seen salt and rarely seen rain. It has a AE101 MAP 4a-gaze swapped into it. The wiring conversion was done by Dr. Tweak.
-E58 LSD transmission
-Walbro 255lph fuel pump
-NST tuning super charger and water pump pulleys.
-New timing belt and tensioner
-All new engine gaskets
-New head gasket
-ARP head studs
-New water pump
-New tires
It needs work to be finished, or could be parted out. The car is still partially disassembled. I recently moved to an apartment and I don't have room to work on it. Clean title. Needs to be towed, does not drive.

Looks like a bit of a bargain.
How hard would it be to swap that drivetrain into my step-son's 230,000-mile '96 Corolla?

Not very hard at all, though the celica is the better shell of the two. 4ag swaps are basically drop in on ae101s.
In reply to mndsm:
I realize that, but the idea of a stock-appearing beige Corolla with THAT under the hood sounds like the perfect sleeper. If you could keep the exhaust quiet enough. All just a pipe-dream anyway...
I don't think i'd buy this car for any reason other than to get it on the road. It's a REALLY good and stiff chassis, will be light, and there's just not many 5th gen Celicas on the road anymore.
