You should be able to get a Mack fire truck with 30k miles that's lived a (mostly) pampered life indoors for that kind of money.

Big old trucks are priced like old MBs, the difference between scrap and driver is small, the difference between driver and museum is huge. Mainly because you need an even bigger truck and trailer to pull it around when it breaks.

As a frequent driver of a firetruck, I would debate the pampered life comment. Sure they live indoors, but the go from sitting to WOT with no warm up. Also, our city only does work when they break enough that they are no longer functional.
