Pity the newer once has the rust, those have e28 suspension with two control arms instead of the e12 setup with one. I don't think you can just swap the subframes and make it work, but I'd like to crawl underneath and find out. The 633 probably has L-jet engine management instead of Motronic. I'm not sure which differentials e12s use, but it may be a side loader, which are hard to come by, unlike the dirt cheap e28/30 medium case.
Having had an e24, I'd gladly have another. I'm not in a position to take on another project though.
