Seller says:
"Set up for shaft drive motorcycle engine. Has sat outside for a while. Steering stuck. Needs taken apart and lubed or used for a race shop sign. Has a nice set of aluminum wheels...."
Abviously it needs tires and an engine, but someone may have those parts just sitting around waiting to land on this thing.
oh that is an epically bad idea.....when will you pick it up?
oh and links help
Link!!!!!!
I have shaft drive 920 yamaha sitting here
That is just a really odd little thing. Double a-arm up front, no suspension on back, ATV diff, lightweight kart axle bearings, single bike brake on rear axle (only?), but then it has fat aluminum wheels and really wide tires. If it was close I would probably grab it for the wheels alone. Actually, that's a lie-I would try really hard to put my GSXR 1000 in it.
I still have the Kawasaki 1000 shaft drive motor sitting around.....
Strongly recommend a battery relocation to whoever buys it.
Glad it's not close to me.
Yeah someone needs to pick that up and do a build thread....

Sorry forgot the link.
Here you go.
Near Indianapolis
Which means near me. Dammit.
Looks like an old formula SAE car.
I've called. No answer yet.
I actually could really use that to make a swing arm for my off road go kart project. I wonder if the diff is good, and how much power it can handle?

i have a chain drive atv diff if it's something you can use.
if anyone is close and can pick this up for me and sit on it for a week or three, let me know what you need to do that and if you can pick it up i'll pay you immediately for the purchase price plus your finding/towing fee. hell negotiate him to $100 and tell me $200 total and i'm cool with that.
In reply to patgizz:
Seriously? Can it handle 65hp?
In reply to bravenrace:
Sure, as long as you realize it will try to kill you every time you mat the throttle.

no idea but you're welcome to try it
This could get interesting!
It's a little hard to tell what diff it is.
I will say this, the new diff in the Yamaha 450 Big Bear by Tuff Torq almost has the power capacity to be mounted in a NA Miata.
Go through it, (maybe shorten the tube frame) pop on a '60 Fiat 600 or 500 body, maybe an Abarth badge or two just for fun, and done! Street, track, hill climb, autocross. Get ready to have some mad fun . . .
I see it and think, "Heck, thats a good link for a HUGE cooler and side by side seats to make a sweet pit vehicle"

I may take you up on that.
I've gotten ahold of the owner. Long story short he wants it to go to someone who will follow through on what his father envisioned but never built. He describes it as a "shifter cart" and we set an appointment for me to come pick it up on Saturday.

Woo hoo! I Expect to see a build thread!

This is some of the most impressive enabling I've seen. Thank god this isn't Silk Road.
