Strong motor, clutch, and transmission. This car runs well. I have no hesitations when taking it on long trips, and have used it for the past 5 1/4 years as my daily driver. During the past month I have driven the car home from Blacksburg to Charlottesville, and made round trips to Virginia Beach, and DC without any problems. Also has an aftermarket Remus cat back exhaust system. The tires have good tread. The car passes inspection except for the rack and pinion. Issues: Drivers seat has mechanical problem, can't slide forward all the way, but is interchangable with passenger seat which is fully functional. The rack and pinion needs to be replaced because it leaks power steering fluid. A remanufactured rack and pinion can be found for $200-250. The car always starts although it occationally takes a few times for it to turn over. There are a few dents on the back half of the car. There is no stereo system. The odometer has stopped working.
