Who says Rover V8s aren't reliable. This one has 185K on it. I recently pulled a 4.0 out from a 97 LR in the junk yard that had 155K on it. Thing ran quite and smooth, but once I got it home, I decided it was best to pull it apart and have a look inside. After all, it had 155k miles and was in a very neglected looking truck. I was amazed at how clean the thing was. Little bit of wear on the bearings and some carbon build up, but that was it. Still had nice cross hatches on the cylinders. Sent it off to the machinist for new bearings, a hone and a rering. Now it's wrapped up just waiting for a project to put it in.
