Can't, unfortunately. No room in front of the engine for the turbo. I did an engine for a Riviera Turbo convertible, which I guess barely cracked into the triple digits for production. (105 or 108 or something ever made)

The turbo layout is short and sweet, though. The MAF is part of the throttle body, which bolts directly to the turbo inlet. The turbo then blows into a very short inverted J-trap that plugs straight into the intake manifold. I have pictures somewhere.

That's for the EFI cars, of course. A 1980 model is carbureted.

That's crazy. I never even knew that the existed. Of course, I was more of a Toronado kid.

if you didnt know these existed, google "Riviera T-Type"

One of my friends had one in high school. Not particularly fast, but fun in its own way, and luxurious. None of us kids deserved to ride around in such class.

I had an '84 Cadillac Eldorado with the 4.1L V8. It was great in the winter, but it got 11 miles to the gallon.

If you think the layout is crazy, you should actually check out the Transmission.

This still seems like a neat car.

The idea of a high powered fwd v8 car has always interested me. Aside from the late model fwd 5.3 Imp SS's etc, are there any other v8 fwd hi-po tire burners besides the first gen Toronados?

If you could extend your definition to "hi-torque," you could look at the 1970-up Eldorados. 500 cubic inches of potential.
