One oif my wife's aunts had one of these she wanted to sell us when we first got married. A total piece of crap that smoked like a chimney and she still wanted several hundred dollars for it (in 1974 dollars)
I always wondered why the retracting rear window never caught on. Seems like such a good idea so that with the windows down the air will not get trapped inside the cabin and swirl around.
Yep. I've got a 4-Runner, one of the only vehicles that has a lowering rear window. In the winter, warm aie moves more quickly around the cabin, in the summer you get a nice breeze without all the ear drum banging.
I want this car by the way. Anybody heading North?

I'll tell you why. My aunt had one. Cruising down the highway with the back window open, she looked in the rearview mirror to see that Junior, age about 3, had squirreled out of his seatbelt and was crawling out onto the trunk deck.
Fortunately, her panic reaction - slamming on the brakes - solved the immediate problem by hurling Junior into the back seat. But she got rid of the car right after that.

Dan, Seeing that I'm close and currently in the habit of offering to move cars to Gainesville, do you want me to collect, store and get this thing to the Challenge for you?
Mmmmmmmmmm No.
I don't have the room or cash until something leaves. Now if you'd like to buy something and bring the Land Yacht when you pick up, we can negotiate.
