As for the mullet factor, lack of t-tops knocks off a few points.

So, after staring at the pictures for a few hours and willing myself to grow a mullet (didn't happen, by the way) I sent an email.

$1600? If the basic shell is as clean as it looks, that might be a good C-Prepared base. Might be able to sell off enough parts to get the chassis down to $0.
