Looks like a cool project. I would get this personally if situation was different.
Could be a good challenge starter kit.

Signs point to yes, if you want to ship large pieces of steel from the UK,

The sites I found listed "front half" and "back half", so roughly 4'x4' pieces of sheetmetal.

Agreed! I've been eyeing this too, but no space for two projects...

The rims really make it. That's a sharp looking fiesta. I've always loved them, but in the "hilariously awkward hatch" kind of a way, but that one is very nice looking (minus the cancer).

This thing's been floating around a lot lately. I've seen it on at least 5 boards now. I would also pick it up if I could. I've wanted one of these for a long time. Apparently it's an ex-autocross car, too; someone posted on Xceedspeed about it being their dad's friend's old car or some g-bage.

I remember that car running council events 15-20 years ago. Was a great car back then.

I have a love hate relationship with Fiesta's though. the love part is I remember them as a kid back in England and that I raced one. The hate part is because I raced one. ugh, I still get nightmares now about it.

See avatar. I'm a bit further along the "hate" continuum than Ade (we first met racing Fiestas against each other in the late 90s). But they still look good (IMO), they are light, the Kent engine is a beast, and they are simple. But the hubs WILL break, you can't fit much tire under them, the parts all have to come from the UK, and they love to rust.

The agony, the nightmares, twitch twitch, where's my pills?

Seriously, someone please buy this, it could be a great fun street/autocross/rallycross car, just don't plan on tracking it.

Damn Adrian, I would have given you the Saab and the difference in purchase price for you to deliver this to me in Indiana. Always wanted a Fiesta

I was in a Fiesta on the Autobahn. I love them, but it was a bit out of place there.
