GLH Turbo on eBay

These came out just after I graduated from high school, and at that time some dealerships would let you take test drives without a salesman in the car as long as you were 18...my buddy and I might be the reason they don't do that any longer.

No affiliation, yada yada, yada.

I work in Bothell. Can probably check it out for someone if needed.

It isn't making 300hp with a stock turbo. and if it was the 525 tranny wouldn't hold up very long..

Still might be a decent buy though..

my first car was an 86 shelby charger, same idea. I still hate that car, worst automotive thing that has ever happened to me.

I love that people feel this way about these cars...

Cause I love these cars.

the GLH is a riot.,.. there are very, very few FWD anythings which are more fun to drive..

Blaming the car for owner neglect simply isn't fair.

I actually saw one of these this afternoon. I was passed by one on my way home from the grocery store. I guess what surprised me was that it DIDN'T sound like your "typical" hopped-up 4 cylinder sedan. It sounded a bit like a "medium-modded" V8 ponycar.

I know that car.

It has a NOS Hurst Shifter attached to a 520 transaxle using one of my shiftlinkage kits (keeps the linkage from the 525 without having to hack the car to fit the later model transaxle, linkage has metal rode ends to replace the plastic ends, Hurst shortens the throw, etc.).

Looks like a later model intake with an intercooler and some nice pipe work, etc.

If he's running a custom program or essentially the Super60 kit then they might get close to 300hp, but I doubt it as well without looking at the turbo as the stock Garrett turbos just do not flow enough to support those power levels.

Yep, they do. I tend to think of them as sounding a bit like an old power boat (like the kind on Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade)

Mine is just a personal horror story. Right after I turned 16 my granpa called all excited that he had bought me a car. This was really weird because this was the cheapest man alive. Long story short, it turns out he had a stroke, which really changed his personality. THen the car turned out to have been rebuilt after a fire, the electronics was a hacked together nightmare and I got stranded on more dates than I care to remember.
