I know this is a long shot, but I have these sitting around. Folks like the SVT engine for RWD swaps, and I know the 6-speed is sought after. Both have 200k miles. Trans shifted great and had not grinds. Engine was rumored to have new headgasket 55k or so miles ago with a spotless bottom end. Still pulled hard and ran like a top.

$600 for both, or 350 for engine, 300 for trans if bought separately. I'm in Pittsburgh.

Wonder what it would take to make this work in a 2nd gen Escort... It's thoughts like this that end up getting me in trouble.

The motor is a Zetec, so whatever is required for that. The trans would be the same as swapping it into a NON SVT Focus and then translate that into the Escort. I had one of these for a few years and it is a great motor mated to a slightly oddly spaced 6 speed. It is VERY tight but first was too tall for my liking. I 'think' that the MTX75 used in a regular focus was also used in the escorts. If so, I would imagine that it would be pretty straight forward to swap it all over

I also would probably be interested if I was closer. It's a great engine. I'm sure someone will find a use for it.

I'm in the middle of researching what transmissions will fit in a ZX3 (thanks to a bent shift fork). Looks like the Escort SPI was primarily the IB5 not the MTX75 until you get to the Zetec-equipped Zx2's. And then there's a change in mid-2002 Foci to an "updated" MTX75 (which supersedes the early MTX75) until the switch to Duratec engines which use an updated version of the MTX75...

I'm about to pull my hair out really. :)

Oh, and I'd be all over that SVT & Getrag if it weren't in Pittsburgh.

Zetec Foci had the MTX75, all BG based Escorts (91?-03?), including the ZX2, had the Mazda G-Series transaxle.
