In the last 6 years he's spent $4K on it, not sure if I'm amazed or worried. It is a nice looking car, tho.
About 25 miles from me is a nice white '96 MX-6. Unfortunately, it's a V6 with AUTOMATIC. Can be had for a little more than 1/2 what this guy is asking....I'm tempted.

I'm betting he's one of those guys that maintains by the miles, not the wear. (Also factor in labor.)
Car looks too nice for it to make you worry. Especially if it runs well.
These motors are REAL easy to find out if they've been cared for.
I bet this is a cream puff without even a hint of lifter tick.
Any 2nd gen V6 Probe/MX6 or V6 MX3.
V6 manual 626 would work as well.
There was some talk going around about a toyota gearbox conversion for these motors as well, but that died because the person doing it ended up going with a Pontiac trans. (Not the smart choice, imo) Toyota box isn't worth pursuing with the relatively low output the K8 would have.
There were starter interference issues with the Toyota idea, but i can't imagine those being impossible to get around.
The Probe/MX3 units will be the tightest boxes. Final drive is 4.38 i believe. (I'm using MX3 on the Escort.)
