This mishmash of Sprite parts comes all the way from Nebraska, where we find yet another restoration started but unfinished. The chassis and bodywork are a 1964 example, while the nose is from the much more charming and almost universally adored Bugeye, or Frogeye in the UK (1958-1961). Before stopping due to age and health, the seller had gathered extra doors and fenders, a new convertible top and new interior bits. It also has a side draft Weber carburetor fitted to the A-Series motor, which is said to run. The car also comes with the hood and fenders for a square-bodied Sprite. It’s a noble project, but there is still plenty missing, like gauges, head and taillights, additional interior trim, etc. The price is fairly reasonable given the current condition and the extras that are included, so this seems like a solid buy on a fun, rewarding project. Check out the 1964 Austin-Healey Sprite here on eBay, where the “Buy It Now” price is set at $1,400 and the reserve is not yet met at $810.
