Hey everyone, I recently changed jobs (and states) and need to clean out my garage a bit before the move. I have a 1986 MR2 parts car that I used in the restoration of my '85. Free to any of you that want to come and pick it up (use it for Challenge car, scrap metal, whatever).

Also have 2 additional 4AGE motors, 1 a bare 7 rib block and the other a supercharged engine (longblock only, no accessories or peripherals) with a hole in the block. - Free

Also have 2 front E30 (non-sport) grey cloth seats. 1 in good shape, the other has a torn bottom cushion. - Free

I'll be in town Sat-Mon for Labor Day, would ideally like to have them gone then. Other than that, I'm up to the house at random times getting it ready to sell.

To those of you considering the AW11, please keep in mind it is a rusty parts car (REALLY rusty). The quarters have holes in them, the trunk is missing bits of the floor, and the rear bumper mounts have corroded away. I have also removed the left front fender, one headlight, the airdam, and some miscellaneous interior bits to restore my nice MR2. The previous owner removed the steering rack and transmission.

On the bright side, I have the engine decklid and trunk cover/spoiler, and a clear title for it.

Just trying to be completely honest so no one's disappointed. You get what you pay for

It has been years since I was into AW11's but back then, the 3 piece black plastic that surrounds the rear window area was highly desirable down south if it had not faded or cracked from the sun.
The surround piece that goes around the radio and AC controls is in one of your pictures. If the holes and mounting tabs are not broken and the exterior is not cracked from sun, it is highly desirable. Every time a car stereo is stolen one of these are ruined and they do not make them any more. I sold a good condition unit on ebay and the bidding went all the way to $104.

Does yours have rear speakers in the c-pillars? If yes, to get the grill requires the swapping out of the entire c-pillar/b-pillar trim. Without these you can not gracefully add rear speakers. They used to sell for $50 per set.

oh, that does not deter me at all. I want a slow project to occupy my time and have fun with/get experience on. the more of a fixer it is (to a point) the more I want it.
lol
just cant get it because I have no options for transportation. My grandpa got rid of his car sized trailer and my stepdad's trailer isn't tagged anymore.

Excellent . No worries then. If you can get it great, if not I'm sure there'll be other cars.

In reply to jrw1621:

Appreciate the info! I've had a metal scrapper offer me $300. If no one wants it within a month or so I'll probably send it to the scrappers. But if I did that I was planning to strip all the c-pillar/interior/trim/switchgear etc. as a spares pack for my good MR2.

If someone GRM-related wanted it though, I figured I'd leave everything but the stuff I already used for the grey car and just give it to them. Hopefully project-car karma would send me a cheap $2012 challenge car in return once I get settled in Virginia .

I have been looking forever for window trim, and your car has all of it on both sides. Any chance of pulling it and shipping to PGH? I will pay for the shipping of course.

Failing that, I think Columbus is only 3 hours ride...

Bump. Everything is gone except the mr2.

Special this weekend only, I am at the house and have a car trailer (picking up the last of my tools and project camaro) I will deliver the junk mr2 within 2 hours of zip 43061 for the cost of gas. I have a buyer on the house and need it GONE.

Pinchvalve, sorry man, I was intending to pull it for you, but I just haven't been back to house and this weekend is way too busy. If someone takes the car and doesn't want the trim, please do pull it and send it to pinchvalve!

Can you give me a heads up about what's left with the car? Is it a roller?

I live just north of you...

Car is same as in the pictures. Has no transmission, steering rack, seats. Missing drivers front fender and air dam. Probably missing other little stuff as well. It was the sacrificial donor for my 85 restoration.

Tomorrow would be much better for me, I have an 11 hour drive home on sunday to get back in time for work.

Whereabouts in Ohio are you? can you pm me your number?

I am doing a scrap run tomorrow, but it's all truly junk (rusted out 68 gto exhaust, etc.)

I will throw all the spare mr2 stuff in a box for you an bring it

Thanks, got it. Will give you a call tomorrow morning around 10 if that works. Been up since 5 and am only semi-coherent. Also trying to do everything through the smartphone since I disconnected the Internet service at the house.
