Hey guys,
I bought these rims years ago, and paid too much for them, but I really wanted them for my 79 GS. These are pretty rare Almex keyhole rims, that I believe were a dealer option in the South-East on 79 Spark Yellow cars. I have all 4 with the centre caps, and all are in good shape aside from someone prior to me repainted the black sections, and didn't mask them all that great. From a distance this is not seen, but up close you can see the rough edges where the masking was, and it isn't great. With all that said these are pretty rare, and while only 13" (tire availability is limited) the bolt pattern is correct for any of your 79-85 RX-7 with the dreaded 4x110mm bolt pattern. The rims are only 5.5" wide.
The rims have tires on them, but I wouldn't trust them as they are old. How old I don't know, but I could look into it. Also I only have a couple of pics now(poor quality as well), but I will get more ASAP. Maybe even a few mounted on my 78 GS.
Located in South-eastern MA, and willing to ship(with or without tires)at the buyers expense. I was hoping to get $500 for these.
Chris
Nobody needs cool (albeit small sized) RX-7 specific bolt pattern semi-rare alloy wheels?
Those are excellent. You might get some nibbles here, but probably have a much larger audience over on the rotary forums.
Okay, so now that I'm on strike I really need money as I have no income. Selling car parts and working on the side is my alternative. I would love to sell these on. Well not really, but I need cash. Better pics to follow.
The wheels have a few curb scrapes on a couple of them, and the PO masked them off poorly when re-painting them, but they are in good shape otherwise, and pretty rare. Only 13", but use the proper 4x110 bolt spacing of the RX-7, and other early Mazda's. As you can see all 4 have the centre caps. I can get the tires removed to make shipping easier. These look awesome on Spark Yellow SA RX-7's!
Pics of them mounted on my 78 Spark Yellow SA22C:
Sorry the car isn't outside, clean, or on the ground, but you get the idea.
Too bad the RX-3 had it's hubs changed already (I'm dying to start on it). I like those and a matching set of wheels would be nice.
Bump. Someone of you rotorheads/Mazdafarians must want some cool old wheels.
Is that Rx-7 still for sale?
Not entirely, but I am on strike at work, and if it carries on too much longer everything will be for sale.
Someone must want some rare Mazda wheels.
Bump from the dead. Would really like to sell these. I'll try to get pics back up somehow. This Photbucket E36 M3 sucks!!
I ignored this when you posted originally because I had converted my car to FC/GSL-SE suspension in 2010. Now that I have a proper 12A car again, I want to see what these wheels look like. Given that my car came from the southeast, something seems fitting here.
Yes, how did you do that?
I just did a google search for rx-7 alemex keyhole (I was curious what it looked like) and that was one of the first images. Right click copy image address and link it here.
That's funny because it's my picture from this thread.
Looks like that one was an attachment from rx7club so it isn't affected by photobucket.
