I'm sick of sitting on this project and paying for storage when realistically I'll never get to touch it. It needs to go to someone who can pour a little time into making it the awesome little track car someone intended it to be. So here's the lowdown.
The time has come to offer up my project car, a highly modified 1972 MGB Roadster. I had plans to do an extensive restoration and upgrade the engine, transmission, and suspension, then use it as a street/track car, but a new project has come my way and I would like to pass this one on.
The good: -The car has had countless hours of bodywork done to widen the front and rear fenders -Custom running boards to join the flares together -The front bumper and grille area are also one-off -All bodywork is STEEL, no crappy fiberglass or plastic -Aforementioned bodywork makes this a truly unique, one-of-a-kind car that will be stunning after a restoration -Bright red paint shines up very nicely -Engine is free and turns over -Runs if you pour gas into the carb -Vintage Cobra alloy wheels -Vintage luggage rack on trunk lid
The bad: -Car has been sitting for several years now -Top is trashed (I do have a tonneau-style top for it that needs new zippers that will be included with the sale) -Interior is pretty well shot from rain damage/sitting -Brake system needs to be gone through -Fuel system needs to be gone through, as gas does not get to the carb -Transmission/clutch are frozen, will need rebuild or replacement -Front floor footwells have rust holes, will need to be patched/replaced -Trunk lid is dented -Will need a respray when you finish everything
I bought the car two years ago from Jason at East Coast Collision and Restoration in Mt. Holly, but the individual/shop that initially did the bodywork is unknown. The car is currently in storage in Georgia, VT, where it can stay for the remainder of the season with a deposit, or come pick it up and haul it away now.

I've cut the asking price IN HALF to $1000 for this unique little Brit. Between the original purchase price, transportation, and storage fees, I'm taking a decent loss here. Someone really needs to take this off my hands.
I will entertain trades for various things, auto-related and otherwise, so if you have something, offer it up. Also wouldn't mind an older (60s or 70s) pickup truck in running (but can be rough) condition.
