I paid $68 for on of these. With the boost cranked up it would pull John Force level burnouts. Great little cars as long as the transmission holds up.
And the rod bearings, wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
In case you are wondering, I got my Probe from slefain, after he beat the rod bearings out of it. Definitely a tough little car, still running with good oil pressure and a horrendous knocking. Rebuilt the engine and ran it for a couple years before the trans started acting up, then parted it out.
And Bens car goes like hell too...

Info on SiR.
My SE-R? The body is a little rough (it has 228k miles and looks the part), but it's mechanically well sorted (No 5th gear pop-out.) for trackdays. Ran a 15.6 at the drag strip. It's basically set up for stock autocross, Progress front swaybar, custom magnaflow exhaust, caster bushings, Porterfield pads.
I've added factory cruise control that didn't come on '91s, fixed the door sag (typical for these cars), replaced the sunroof with a working one and replaced the cracked dashboard. I've also put in a battery, ball joints, tie rod ends, steering rack, and a bunch of minor light bulbs, interior trim, stereo re-wire, etc.
On one hand, it's been really reliable and is currently my only car, and I have sunk a bunch of time into it. On the other I kinda want to check the F2T off my bucket list. I traded my Miata for this to check off the SR20DE (and to get a back seat for the dog), and it's worked out pretty well for the most part.
