1968 Plymouth Fury 3 with a 318 5.2 liter engine. Drive shaft blew out on me two days ago. I have a new radiator $200, alternator $40, new cooper sigma tires $200 set of 4 staggered rear bigger than front, battery $60, 318 engine $500 and other parts to sell individually or all together. Needs a rear differential and drive shaft. Call and let me know since I will scrap this car next week. It is on the west side of Cleveland right now. Rich 216-375-9232.
I recently saw another one of these locally, I think, for about $2,000. Unfortunately, while that one was running, the reason why it was $2K was because it had been jacked up and 22s put under it.
I like old Plymouths, but I'm not crazy about the '68. The '68s look like they grabbed some scraps out of the dumpster to "facelift" the '67s. When I was in high school, one of the Driver's Ed cars was a white '69 Fury III....I thought that car was great looking, but I got stuck driving the other Driver's Ed car...a '69 Ford Galaxie.
If I was to buy a '60s Fury, I'd go for a '69 first, a '66 second, a '67 third (or second) and the '61 after that.

And?
He has to pass on it.
(Friend of mine - same friend who helped me assemble the Monster the other night - and yes, Monster is the engine's name - has wanted a Fury III since I've known him, and I've known him for something like 21 years.)
Those berkeleyers are huge. There is one at our workshop (2 door my friend owns). It is several inches longer then my MB wagon.
And you could get them (at least the 2-doors, because I drove one once) with the Slant Six. What you call your REALLY Leaning Tower of Power.
