I've got a straight MKII rust free body, gutted interior, sitting on grossly mis-matched struts from an MKI. It has a 1.8L 8V that smokes on startup, with a 5 spd.

This is the car that used to belong to spinout007.

I do not have a title for it.

It would be a great candidate for a race project.

Basically, it's a complete car that needs a suspension.

$500, and I can give it a free ride up I-75.

I will say that motor gave me no trouble other than a cam seal in the three years it was in my possession. Very willing to run lap after lap on track days.

Svrex may even have the kyb/pro-line spring setup it wore for a good chunk of the time I had it for a bit more. Dunno he may have sold it/forgot about it.

So, you're dumping two projects and picking up a Cooper S? Also, why can't I75 be closer to Minneapolis? I WANT that 323.

I seem to recall something about a 2 or 3 for 1 policy he has.

It's not that I'm dumping any projects, it's that I'm heading north, and I can't stand driving empty if I can avoid it. I'd rather offer GRMers free transport.

The GTI was never a project for me. Don't have an interest.

"Straight and rust free" are magical words up here in Ohio on a car that old.
