When I first saw this ad, I thought "oh wow, this can't be one of the RWD Impulses", but it is. The bad news? Looks like it's seen it's share of "casual" owners.

Its on the intake manifold.

Ahhh, the Scirocco that never was. Shame VW turned down Guigiaro on that design.

Had a friend with one. Horribly underpowered for the non-turbo version, but it was fun & totally had the quirky 80's space-explorer feel about the dash and controls.

You can't really see them in the photos all that well, but the pix of the steering wheel/instrument panel shows smallish, barrel-shaped "pods" beneath the rim of the steering wheel at about 3 and 9 o'clock.

I try to stay away from cars AND trucks where previous owners have affixed those "chrome flames" to any trim on the sides or back.
