If it had a manual trans I would likely do it.
Here is the current object of my desire:

That continental kit is worth half the asking price of the car. I wish it were a little closer and I'd snag it.
Call me a skeptic but I am a bit disbelieving that the used market for '86 Lebaron continental kit is that lucrative.

They're relatively universal. Just hit ebay for for E&G continental kit. I bought one from the junkyard for 12 bucks just to hang on my wall, then my mind was blown when I saw what they sold for. Mine was banged up and sold for almost 400. I bought another one for 60, but haven't listed it yet.
Yes, a Hong Tribute theme complete with fire horns. Just imagine the faces of management when that arrives.
I'm missing something. That link takes me to this 2005 xterra:
Which is describe as a "very clean ford bronco", and listed for $2440
Very scammy.

I see the same. Really sad. :(
Related: a good buddy of mine bought an old LeBaron convertible with a Continental kit for $500. He sold the damn kit for $500 and had a free car. So, there you go.

I'd rather have the Sappro!

So....what's keeping you?

Sadly if I could find one that clean I would buy it no matter the trans. I've got the one my parent's bought new in 80 sitting out back. Manual trans and all. That thing has seen both sides of the country, the border of canukistan and 300k or so miles. It now burns almost as much oil as it does gas, and some of the body panels are kind of opaque.
