HF 48" x 40" Trailer built 2010 for towing behind a Miata.
Axle flipped for lower ride height. Fender brackets extended to clear tires on lower axle. I did not remove a leaf, but it is easy enough to do.
Wired for separate turn signals. No special box needed. I used a 6 wire plug.
Will come with ball and 1" hitch. Spare tire.
Has lots of eye bolt tie downs. Only has decking inset into front half. Rear half was used for tires.
Bearings regreased with Redline synthetc grease.
Located in Adrian, MI, but can deliver within a reasonable distance.
GRM Price: $150

I cant really tell from the pics. Does it have 8 inch or 12 inch tires?
Nowhere close enough to be interested, but curious about why you're selling, don't need anymore, or have a cool replacement?

Pics look like 12" tires. Good deal and everything's done to it that should be.
Yes, 12" tires. Selling because I don't need it any more. Most of my trackday stuff fits in the RX-8 and I have a truck for everything else.

When you say rear half for tires, were they stood up side by side & nestled down into the space? (I'm very tired and was thinking damn I don't know where I'd put my tires until I re-read this 5 times)

Does it have a title? I know Wisconsin doesn't need plates but I don't remember if Michigan needs them.
No title needed in MI for that trailer. I have all the paperwork that MI requires, though.

That's what I thought (after the caffeine kicked in), thanks.
Don't suppose you ever get down to Dayton OH huh?
No, but I might be persuaded to meet you half way...

Crap. Anyone with a trailer hitch able to meet him around Toledo or Lima? (That's my problem, no hitch and won't be for awhile. All custom welding by Colletti's when I am ready)
If he can deliver it just outside of Bowling Green, Ohio, I'd be happy to store it in my shop until you get your towing rectified.

Jerry,
Custom welding?
I used to have a hitch on my '88 MR2 SC. I knew I had written about it on MR2OC so I searched up these links:
http://www.mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=16331&highlight=hitch
http://www.mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=83018&highlight=hitch
http://www.mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=111924&highlight=hitch
I could not find my exact model which was Hidden Hitch brand. I seem to remember that the one I had also applied to the same year Corolla. Searching Corolla, I found this:
http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Toyota/Corolla/1988/C11227.html?vehicleid=19886051
Note the fitment instructions they give:
Hitch will only fit cars with existing 12 mm threaded holes in the bumper beam. There must be two sets of the 12 mm threaded holes both on bottom and side (towards the front of the vehicle) of the beam.No drilling required for installation,
This is how it worked on my MR2. Once the bumper was off, the holes were there to bolt the hitch right on to the bumper.
I would start with getting your bumper off. This is 6 bolts. Wont take 30 minutes.
Use this diagram as your guide: http://opc.mr2oc.com/online_parts_catalog/rear_body.jpg
The portion in question is labeled GG and gg in the diagram.
The entire bumper is held on by 3 bolts on each side (2 underside, 1 in trunk.) The bumper has two posts that slide into the opening. You are unbolting these slide posts
1) Lay under the car you will see two bolts on each side.
2) In the trunk, pull back the carpet. Where the wall that holds the tail lights meets the floor, there will be one bolt on each side.
3) With all bolts removed, the bumper will still remain in place. From the back of car and from the center of the bumper, pull the bumper off the car.
4) Looking at the bumper (not the car) see if the holes on the metal portion of the bumper are still acceptable to bolt hitch onto after years of exposure and rust.
5) Order hitch and repeat the process in 30 minutes.
There are 4 oval holes on the back plate. Two of these will be used to mount this black metal to the metal portion of your white plastic covered bumper. The round holes below that are for your chains when towing.
The two oval holes on the V-shaped metal should bold right to the bottom of your bumper.
With this black metal now attached to your white bumper, slide bumper back on car and redo the 3 bolts each side (2 under and 1 in trunk.)

Bowling Green is do-able. Just add gas $30 for gas? And it won't even get any more miles on it. I'd throw it in the back of my truck since I don't have the 2" ball mount for the truck hitch. I do have the ball and small ball mount for the trailer though.

Works for me if Jerry's interested. If he's not, I'll take it for the same deal.

I'm interested! Just trying to work out logisitics. Fiancee's friend is coming to visit from Toledo, checking to see if her Jeep has a hitch. Otherwise I'll figure something out soon.

Cool, just let me know. I have plenty of room to keep it for you.
Jerry's got dibs, grafmiata 2nd. Do i have a 3rd?
And if you let me know by Thursday, I can probably swing down there Saturday morning.

I'm figuring it out, seeing if any local friends can help. My boss has an extra Jeep he's making into a company car that I noticed yesterday has a ball-hitch on the back. Going to ask today.
In reply to JohnRW1621:
Thanks for a great write-up! I remember looking into this when I thought I HAD to get one last winter, but was stymied by dead links on threads and links to hitches that didn't exist anymore. If that one works, it sounds like even I could do it.
In college I brought one of those trailers from New Orleans to Houston on top of the trunk of an Opel that didn't have a hitch. Threw a strap inside the trunk and another out the doors, padded the tongue where it touched the roof, set it up top and went down the road.
Worked really well, actually.

I'm wondering if it will fit in my girl's Element. Trying the SCCA racer guys tonight with trailers.
Don't you have a roof rack on the scion?
It also wouldn't take long to unbolt the fenders and axle, maybe even the tongue for easier transport.
You could pretty much take the whole trailer apart in half an hour or less and just shove it in the back of whatever you're driving. It's really only about a dozen nuts and bolts :)
